7th Annual Flags for Fallen Vets
Join Texas Humane Legislation Network’s Southeast Texas Chapter for the 7thannual Flags for Fallen Vets event on Sunday, May 26th, 2019.
THLN is honored to volunteer for the first time in this annual event to remember and honor the brave me and women who have sacrificed for our country and our freedoms. We will need a group of 15 volunteers to place flags at each headstone in our assigned section. Feel free to bring friends and family members to participate as well. Please sign up to volunteer here, so that we have an idea of how many volunteers we can expect.
The details: The opening ceremony will begin at 8am at the hemicycle – please be on time so you can find parking and we can gather our group together. A team lead will give instruction on proper protocol of how each flag should be placed, as well as proper etiquette in a National Cemetery

What to bring: Water, 12 inch ruler, screw driver
What to wear: Dress comfortably. We are hoping to get shirts ordered in time, we will keep you posted.

The SPCA of Texas presents: Strut Your Mutt! North Texas' largest dog walk fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the base of the Margaret Hunt-Hill Bridge in Dallas.
THLN is seeking volunteers to help with tabling at this event! We need to fill the following shifts:
- 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. (this includes helping with setup)
- 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
- 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (this includes helping with takedown)

If you are unable to volunteer but are still interested in attending the event itself:
The timed 5K ($40) will begin at 8:30 a.m. and the 3K walk/fun run ($35) will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Registration fees include t-shirt, goody bag full of coupons and a dog toy, and registrants will enjoy free food and drink at the event!

THLN is excited to take part in K-9 Angels Rescue Spring Fling 2019! Come out to Karbach for food trucks, music, silent auction and amazing raffle items. A limited number of K-9 Angels pint glasses will be available as well. THLN will be onsite to get you signed up for Action Alerts and hand out information about the ongoing legislative session. The event is family and pet friendly, we hope to see you there!
