Don’t miss this essential monthly meeting to learn about challenges that impacted animal welfare laws in the last legislative session and the opportunities to strengthen animal protection laws in the future. This presentation will also share techniques for citizen advocacy and help you be a strong, unified voice for animals and victims in your community!
According to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence: Pets and Domestic Violence, investigation of animal abuse is often the first point of social services intervention for a family experiencing violence. Understanding laws that protect animals, including livestock, is an important tool for all first responders and victim advocates.
