Representatives Shaheen and Leach each brought animal welfare bills relating to adequate shelter and restraint for dogs who live outside and have been endorsed by the Texas Humane Legislation Network.

Come and join THLN at the 2020 TVMA Conference & Expo in San Marcos, on February 28th & 29th, where we will have an exhibitor table.  This event expects to draw thousands of veterinarians from all over the state of Texas. 

THLN is seeking volunteers to help with tabling at this event!  We need two people per shift, to fill the following shifts:

Friday, February 28th:

Exhibit hall hours are:
Friday, February 28, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday, February 29, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

THLN will be presenting for the animals in East Texas at the Canton Rotary Club meeting in February, giving a brief introduction to THLN and discussing local animal issues and why they matter to the reputation, prosperity and safety of the community.  Together we will explore various ways to effectuate change. 

Important:
Lunch is $12.00, to be paid on-site via cash or check made out to Canton Rotary Club.
RSVP deadline is Monday, February 24th.

Come and join THLN, together with Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter, at a gathering to evaluate the candidates for HD 10 and discuss how you can get political for animals as we get ready to move into the 2020 Primaries and General Election.

In addition to the HD 10 candidates, Jake Ellzey and Ryan Pitts, we will also be welcoming special guest Rep. Carl Sherman.

If you are participating in the Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k this year in Dallas, come by and see us when you pick up your race packet!  THLN will have a booth at the Hot Chocolate Expo on February 6^th and 7^th.
