For Animal Control Officers (ACOs) all over Texas, it is vital to have the right tools to do the job so that they are able to prevent harm to the animals they care for.  The local ordinances are one of the most important, and unfortunately also one of the most overlooked, tools that are used on a daily basis to ensure standards of care and address animal suffering.  In many ways, local ordinances are even more valuable than state laws when it comes to safeguarding animals.
