2023 Holiday Giving

This year, Texas took a giant step forward to making our state more humane for animals. Building on the success of the 2021 Safe Outdoor Dogs Act, THLN was instrumental in passing even more significant laws that will effectuate change for dogs and cats throughout our state. With the help of advocates like YOU, THLN was able to pass laws that:
• Strengthen the Texas Licensed Breeders Program to prevent animal breeding cruelty before it begins.
• Expand protections for heroic service animals and the Texans they assist.
• Prevent convicted animal abusers from possessing a companion animal to interrupt the cycle of violence.

We are grateful for your support and belief in our mission. We can make the most proactive and long-lasting change for animals through the legislative process. For over 48 years, THLN has been the only Texas-based, Texas-funded, and Texas-run group addressing unjust state animal welfare laws - and it’s all thanks to YOU!
