Fix West Texas, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to increasing the quality of life for the pets and people of West Texas through providing affordable preventative care, adoption services, is hosting a FREE community meeting to present the new laws recently passed in the 88 th Texas Legislative Session that will impact animals and the people who care for them.
The event will be led by Shelby Bobosky, Executive Director of the Texas Humane Legislation Network, and will cover the laws passed during the 88th Texas Legislature, including laws that related to dog and cat breeders, Trap-Neuter-Release, fake service dogs, and a focus on animal cruelty. There will also be discussion on how local ordinances were affected from regulations selling pet store puppies, breeder permits, and functioning agricultural operations in city limits. The meeting includes a Q & A at the end to ask questions on animal laws and ordinances in general and how to support common sense animal welfare legislation!
