The Veto Heard 'Round the State: A Look at How Texas Animals Fared During the 87th Legislative Session and Working Together for the Animals

Unity For A Solution hosts special guests, Shelby Bobosky, Executive Director, and Stacy Sutton Kerby, Director of Government Relations for the Texas Humane Legislation Network for a fun and informative evening to discuss how Texas animals fared during the 87th Legislative Session. There will be a joint presentation taking a deeper look at the bills brought this session, what bills passed and failed and how those laws will change the landscape for animal control, animal shelters, rescuers, and courthouses. We will also examine the veto heard 'round the state, the difficulty in passing animal welfare legislation, and the importance of organizations coming together to effectuate change for thousands of animals through the passage of one law.
