12.15.09 | Issues: Puppy Mills
While puppy mill operators celebrate the holidays in the warmth and comfort of their homes, their "breeding stock" and newly born puppies will be living in misery and filth.
Most puppy mill dogs are kept in outdoor cages, exposed to the cold and damp of winter. Others are locked in sheds, garages and trailers, their eyes and respiratory systems burning from the ammonia-filled air. Many are malnourished and sick, and all desperately wish to be rescued.
Texas puppy mills are growing in record numbers. Your help to stop them has never been more crucial than it is today.
Please click here to make your online donation now. Your gift will help launch a statewide grassroots campaign that will raise public awareness about puppy mills and lay the groundwork for a successful Legislative session in 2011.
On behalf of the untold numbers of adult dogs and puppies suffering in puppy mills today, please know that we appreciate your contribution more than words can express.
We hope that your holiday season will be brighter, knowing that your generous gift to THLN will help make Texas a better place for animals.
