Texas Humane Legislation Network (THLN) - Promoting the humane treatment of animals through legislation, education and advocacy

After a ten year career in correctional management/law enforcement and while working towards a degree in criminal justice, Rick made the decision to pursue a career change in order to have a more direct path of helping others through non-profit organizations. Rick brings 15 years of successful experience as the executive director of various non-profit organizations and professional business associations, some of these include Special Olympics Texas A-16, Camp Fire USA, Air Conditioning Contractors of America, and the Assistance Center of Collin County. This is Rick’s 2nd tenure with THLN as the Executive Director as he previously held this position in 2009/2010

Rick resides in Arlington, Texas with his wife of 22 years (Rhonda) and two of the greatest kids in the world (Brent 17 / Bree 10). Family members love spending time with “Mick”, a rescue from the Fort Worth Pets Smart animal shelter

Some of the family's favorite activities include travel, boating, sports, family activities, and anything to do with the beach.
